My life is an incredible adventure that has taken me down some very exciting and extraordinary paths. I have been fortunate to be able to follow my passions in life. This has been a challenge, and at times a difficult road, but worth it in unimaginable ways. A life with tigers and lions has been a dream of mine since I was a child. My work with the big cats eventually led me to wildlife conservation in East Africa. Currently, I am working for the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Uganda. In 1998, the sanctuary was founded by Dr. Jane Goodall and a group of founding trustees. This website is an account of my journey.

The firm was founded by Chris Austria, a photographer and wildlife expert originally from San Francisco, California. He is passionate about sharing the stunning beauty, culture, people, and wildlife from the Pearl Of Africa. Prior to moving to Uganda, Chris worked with tigers, lions, and other animals for many years in the U.S. His experiences from his career with the big cats inspired him to focus his energies towards wildlife conservation, and protecting endangered species.

Kidepo National Park is one of Uganda’s national treasures, and my favourite place in the world. This stunning wilderness area is located in the Karamoja region of northeast Uganda. Filming the incredible wildlife here is truly an epic experience for me. I am so incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to be around these magnificent creatures. Uganda is an incredibly gorgeous country. There is no doubt why it is called “The Pearl of Africa. The wildlife is astounding, and the National Parks are a fantastic travel destination. The Ugandan people are warm, welcoming, and the culture here is diverse and beautiful. I absolutely love the Pearl Of Africa.
